Family Farm on Mayne Island, BC
We farm a mixed landscape of forest, gardens, orchards, and pastures.
We steward our silvopasture with diversity, resilience, and interdependence in mind.
We practise rotational grazing with Tamworth pigs, Katahdin sheep, Chantecler chickens, and Orpington ducks, supervised by our Buff geese and Maremma sheepdog.
Silvopasture-Raised Meats
We raise our lamb and pork here on Mayne Island, in collaboration with neighbors. We offer individual cuts of lamb and pork, inspected and processed in Duncan and on Salt Spring Island.
Animal Feeds
We mill and blend custom feed for pigs, sheep, and poultry. Our feeds are available for Gulf Island producers in reusable, animal-proof, barrels and can be readily exchanged or refilled at the farm gate.
Gardens & Orchards
We host a few hundred varieties of plants in our agroecosystem. We cultivate a mixture of natives, ornamentals, and fruits. Our animals play a critical role in weeding, seeding, feeding, and regenerating our soils.
